Joint Development Cooperation Committee approves new initiatives in Afghanistan

The last Joint Development Cooperation Committee held in Rome on 23 December 2016 approved the following contributions: 1.000.000 Euro to UNESCO for the project “Local Community Empowerment and Preservation of Shahr-e-Gholghola, the World Heritage site in Bamiyan”, 1.500.000 Euro to UNDP for the project “Local Government (LOGO), and 1.853.754,63 Euro to UNFPA for the project “Providing Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (RMNCH) Services and Promoting Women’s Empowerment in Remote Areas of Herat and Ghor Provinces”.
